About the Awards

After a successful launch last year, the second annual BTTB Travel Management Awards will be presented at a gala dinner on May 7 during  BTTB Australia 2008.

Buyer Awards

Two awards will be presented to recognise innovative travel management. The will recognise a sound travel policy, good supplier relations, use of technology, efficient expense management and innovative systems integration. Particular attention is paid to bottom-line outcomes – in terms of financial performance and savings, traveller satisfaction and social/environmental concern.

The awards are divided by market size as follows:

• Travel Programme of the Year – Large Account (over $2 Million*)
• Travel Programme of the Year – Small–Medium Account (Under $2 Million*)

The expenditure covers total travel spend (includes Air, Accommodation, TMC, Ground Transportation, etc)

Supplier Awards

Leading edge suppliers will also be acknowledged, and buyers were asked to nominate exceptional providers in the following categories:

1) Travel management provider
2) Technology provider
3) Expense management provider
4) Traveller safety provider
5) Consulting services provider

Special Award

Nominations were also called for Exceptional Travel Partner of Year, a special award (not limited to the above categories) to recognise the efforts of any provider who has worked with clients to improve the supply chain, simplify processes and enhance the customer experience.
