BTTB Australia 2010
5th & 6th May 2010
The Australian Technology Park Sydney
Finding the right balance
There’s no doubt that the new decade heralds new challenges and opportunities for travel managers and buyers – as well as everyone else in the supply chain. The dramatic economic upheaval of 2008 and 2009 have changed corporate thinking about travel and about procurement and expense management in general; the delicate supply and demand balance has again shifted and new technology is changing the way we search, book and manage trips.
Against this backdrop, Australasia’s leading business travel event, BTTB Australia 2010, will examine strategies to cope with the recent dramatic changes and to ensure that travel managers have the capacity to absorb any other shocks on the horizon.
The two-day programme brings together practitioners, leading providers from the region and independent consultants for a high-level exchange which will probe current best practice. As usual, there will be a mix of plenary sessions and interactive workshops where delegates can learn about the latest developments – and how their peers are managing and mastering them.
There is already plenty of excitement about another BTTB first this year: the debut “mobile technology shoot-out”, a live demonstration of the very latest travel solutions delivered right to your mobile. The leading vendors will demonstrate some of the current solutions as well as applications that are about to be launched. This is one conference where you can definitely leave your phone on.
The centrepiece of the event will, once again, be the dynamic exhibition, where the largest-ever collection of suppliers will be on hand to demonstrate their products and services. Whether you’re in the market for new technology or solutions or if you’re simply wanting to make sure your current providers are providing leading-edge service, there’s no better place to see what everyone else is offering.
BTTB Australia 2010 will also recognise excellence from both sides of the supply chain at the annual BTTB Travel Management Awards, which have rapidly established their credibility as the region’s only dedicated and independent recognition of excellence.
Working with our project partners, we believe we have put together a programme and schedule of activities which is sure to empower everyone in the corporate travel sector and we look forward to seeing you in Sydney in May.
