There’s been a lot of media coverage of the stock market woes and the economic slow-down in the major markets. Unfortunately, no-one is protected from the impact of the financial troubles on the horizon. As consultant Tony O’Connor explains in the October edition of Business Travel Monthly, travel management in 2009 and beyond will be dominated by recessionary issues.
The latest informative edition includes O’Connor’s observations about keeping our jobs. “As a procurement professional, you are in a good spot. Those that can save their company real money are better-placed than those that cost money for an uncertain return,” he writes.
O’Connor’s article can be found on page 30.
Also this month, read about the latest BTTB/Amex business travel survey which finds that Australasian travel managers are expecting to spend more on travel next year.
In the expense management area, there are currently 26 solutions on offer in the Australasian market, making it extremely difficult to choose. However, a systematic approach makes it easier to find the best tool to meet any organisation’s needs.
